Today, we’re going to prepare a very simple and delicious pasta recipe, which can also be easily adapted to other dishes. It’s spaghetti with garlic, a quick pasta recipe based on the traditional Italian spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino.

I’ve prepared it with spaghetti, but you can easily make this same dish with tagliatelle, pappardelle, fettuccine, or any other long pasta you like.
While it’s already delicious with just garlic and chili, you can then use this recipe as a base for other dishes by adding shrimp, or other ingredients like clams or, for example, beef.

Ingredients (For 4 People)

Instructions:
- Place a pot of water with plenty of salt on the stove and cook the spaghetti for approximately eight minutes. The cooking time depends on the type and thickness of the spaghetti, so you should check the manufacturer’s instructions.
- While the pasta is cooking, peel the garlic heads and slice them thinly. Heat a pan with a generous drizzle of olive oil and fry the garlic along with a couple of pieces of chili pepper. Fry slowly so they don’t brown too much.
- Just before the pasta is al dente, drain the spaghetti well and add it to the same pan where you fried the chili peppers and garlic, sautéing it in the flavorful oil. As it absorbs the flavors, it will finish cooking, so remove it from the boiling water a minute or two before the package instructions indicate.
- We let the spaghetti finish cooking for a couple of minutes, season to taste with a little ground pepper, and transfer it to a serving dish, where we serve it immediately.
