Robusta Coffee Beans

These are Small circular size beans with less pronounced centers that have a strong and bitter flavor. Commonly grown in Africa and Indonesia, also does not get affected by environmental factors and can grow in various conditions.

Due to its “easy-to-grow” and easy to “harvest” properties, it is less expensive. They have higher caffeine content comparable to Arabica for this reason extensively used in instant coffees and espresso shots. It has less acidity and also a low level of saponin in its bark comparable to Arabica.

Liberica Coffee Beans

It contains little caffeine content even less than Arabica, and a strong floral aroma. This plant requires a specific climate for its growth and produces very little yield that’s why it is expensive. Note: These are the only beans that have irregular shapes among all others.

Excelsa Coffee Beans

It is mainly cultivated in Southeast Asia and accounts for 7% of all coffee beans. It is also known as a variant of the liberica plant but still, it has some distinct points that make it different from Liberica. It has almond shape beans and a roasted fruity taste and is used in blends for an extra boost of flavor.

How To Make Coffee Without a Coffee Maker?

If you don’t have a coffee maker/ pot or your power is out, don’t bother about it, you still make a fabulous cup of coffee by using the usual home tools.

  • Grounded beans of coffee (medium size)
  • Measuring Cup
